What is Speakerr?
Speakerr is app that we designed at BCU! It was part of a design project to create something in the field of Health, we as a team were passionate about helping people with mental health, and during discussions we wanted to help a most specific group, which we landed on people who have stammers, as it was a close subject to one of our team members. People who stammer can grow up with anxiety, depression and develop many issues due to the stammer, therefore we designed an app aimed at helping people improve their stammer and feel more comfortable with themselves.

Timeline
Ideation & Design
The basic necessity for any UX Designer is to collaborate and openly discuss ideas for projects, visions and plans for the project ahead and getting a solid groundwork for the road ahead!
User Testing
After initial research and sketching is done, the ideas and design are tested by relevant participants to participate in a user test, which they would test and share their thoughts on the app so far.
Re-design
Lastly, comes the re-design after not just contrasting your participants feedback, but working together on how to incorporate that into the design itself needs to be understood, agreed upon and reasonable to do within the time limit.
My Contributions
For this project I was in charge of the initial sketching of ideas and the user research, along with the implications of how we would use the data from our user studies to improve our initial concept and designs.
User Testing
The user testing process was done by snowball sampling, as we collectively knew three individuals that had a stammer, who then referred us to any other friends that had a stammer also, once we had collected enough participants we then used a prototype link, which participant would explore besides the researcher (me) and voice their thoughts while being recorded and notes being collected. Initially participants would browse unguided then be given a set of instructions to see if the app was clear to navigate. After this and SUS testing was conducted which gave a score of 70!
